Donald Morton

Donald Morton, age 74 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Liberty Full Gospel Church, where he served as an Elder. He was also a founding member of Lamp Light Full Gospel Church. He was a well loved writer where he encouraged many with his songs and poetry. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents James H. and Josie Morton; brothers, Lewis, John, Jimmy and Jack Morton; sister, Gaydene Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy Morton; sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Jane Morton, Jeff and Kim Morton; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Rick Russell; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Roy, Hollis, Ronald and Terry Morton; sisters, Dorothy Teeple, Phyllis Fuller and Pat Anders. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Hepperly and Rev. Ronnie Reagan officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Clark's Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
