Donald Mark "Pete" Smith

Donald Mark (Pete) Smith age 56 of Greenback on February 3, 2022 at Blount Memorial Hospital after a short battle with cancer, walked into the arms of his savior where he joined his grandparents Foister and Louise Smith and Elmer and Minnie Lequire. He was a hard working very loving man who will be missed by his wife of 28 years, Linda (Meador) Smith and son Clay Smith; father and mother, Donald and Wila Smith; brother and sister in law, Stephen and Luanne Smith; father-in-law and mother-in- law, Stan and Beatrice Meador; brother in law, Jeff Slusher and brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Mike and Atonya Slusher and many more family and friends. He worked for Blount County TDOT with a group of men that quickly became family to him. And, if you ever met him here on this side of heaven you would of loved him and come quickly to know that he had a story to tell. You may hear it more than once but you knew he was passionate about the people and events he talked about because that’s what meant the most to him. His legacy will live on and we will always be blessed by our memories of him. But he will be missed by so many especially me and Clay but we will see you again.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 7th at 7:00 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Casey King officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The interment will be Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Morganton Cemetery.
