Donald G. Hord, age 71 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maryville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the U. S. Army, 9th Infantry Division, having served during Vietnam, was retired from the Coca Cola Company. He was a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge #128 F&AM and a Blount County Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyle and Rowena Gideon Hord; twin brother, Ronnie Hord; sister, Betty Harper. Survivors include his wife, Karan Hord; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Ashley Hord, sons, Dallas Hord, Robert Hord; expected grandchild; sister, Brenda Hord; best friend, Jimmy Runyon; his best little buddy, Jax. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service with Rev. Ronald Longmire and Rev. Jimmy Runyon officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maryville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1301 E. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37804 or to Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
