Don Raymond Matthews, 85 of Alcoa, passed away April 30, 2009. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS Destroyer John Hood, a 50 year member of ALCOA, Inc., and an avid NASCAR fan. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Eva Matthews; siblings, Rena Huffstetler, Wilford Matthews, and Kathryn Matthews; brothers-in-law, James McMillan and Frank Huffstetler. Survived by loving family, wife, Joann Morton Matthews; sisters-in-law, Norma McMillan and Pauline Matthews; nephews and nieces, Cynthia and Tate Page, Lynn and Leslie Huffstetler, Peggy and John Griffitts, Brenda and Steve Wright, Tim and Angela Huffstetler, Nancy and Sandy Campbell, James McMillan, II, Becky McMillan, and many great and great, great nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Trexler officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery with Rev.
