David Scott Burns

February 1, 1971 — April 6, 2013

David Scotty Burns -42, of Maryville, passed away suddenly on April 6, 2013. Scott was loved dearly by his family members and friends. Scott loved the outdoors and fishing. He loved to watch his Vols play football. Scott was very kind-hearted and loved to help others. He will be missed by all who loved him until we see him again in Heaven. Preceded in death by grandfather, L.V. Cox Jr. and aunt, Jennifer Cox-Jennings. Scott is survived by his mom, Kathy, and dad, Larry Burns; brother, Michael; his sister-in-law, Amy and nephews Jared and Zachary; Little sister, Lisa and husband Jason Goins; nephew, Aaron and nieces Ashlynn and Abby; his dog and best friend, Hope; grandmothers, Martha Elder Cox and Catherine Reagan Burns; aunts and uncles, Pam Cox, Teresa Breedlove and husband Wayne; uncle, Bud Burns and wife Barbara; uncle, John Jennings. Along with several cousins and many special friends. The family will receive from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral services to follow with Rev. Tommy Hatley officiating. Burial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery.
