David Ray Dunn

David Ray Dunn passed away October 10, 2017. He was born March 2, 1950. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis F. and Jean S. Dunn of Knoxville, TN. David was a graduate of Cleveland State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University. David proudly served this great nation in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. David is survived by his wife of 39 years, maternal uncle Kenneth Smith and family as well as 4 brothers-in-law, who thought of David as a true friend. The family would like to thank the following organizations for treating David with kindness and compassion; Law Dentistry practice, Dr. Kathryn Cameron and staff of Tennessee Urology associates, Dr Sybil Wray, Hope neurology, Dr. Pollock, and the ICU staff at Tennova North. David is remembered for his thoughtfulness of others, his devotion to his wife and an overall philosophy that no matter how many times the deck is shuffled, a person has to live with what they are dealt. A private interment ceremony will be held at the Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Blount County Food pantry.
