David Lee McInturff, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on February 26, 2025.

Born on March 19, 1942, David was preceded in death by his parents, Alta and Bill McInturff; his wife, Peggy Walters McInturff; his son, Scott McInturff; and his brother, Alan McInturff. He is survived by his son, Eric McInturff; granddaughters, Hannah, Sarah, and Mollie McInturff; grandsons, Sean and Nick McInturff who are the sons of David's late son, Scott. David leaves behind a cherished group of friends—Dennis, Dorcas, Bobby, Chris, Preston, Bonnie, and Leslie—who were as close as family.

David was a proud 1960 graduate of Maryville High School and earned his degree from East Tennessee State University in 1964. His career in sales was both long and distinguished. He began his sales career with the Campbell Soup Company before joining NCH National ChemSearch, where he dedicated over 50 years of service. His exceptional work ethic and talent made him a multi-year top sales representative, earning him numerous awards and accolades.

David was a wonderful father and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He was known for his generosity and kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand—whether to family, friends, or even a passing acquaintance. His giving spirit left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

David embraced a “work hard, play hard” philosophy, filling his life with adventure and passion. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast, enjoying boating, water sports, motocross, snow skiing, and fitness. A devoted car enthusiast, he found great joy in restoring classic Chevrolets—always a Chevy man at heart.

A dedicated member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church, David’s faith and friendships were central to his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to MorningView Village Transitional Care and MorningView Village Assisted Living for their exceptional and attentive care during David’s time there.
