David Lynn Cline

It is with a heavy heart that we announce David Lynn Cline of Friendsville, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly on December 9,2023 at the age of 59. David is survived by his wife Karen Cline; son Robbie (Amanda) Cline of Philadelphia, TN, granddaughters Kaylee and Kara Cline; son Greg Akins; stepson Scott (Christine) Marks of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren Tyson and Magnolia "Maggie" Marks; stepdaughter Amy Marks of Smyrna, TN, grandchildren Caitlyn and Silas Marks; stepson Brian Alicea of Craig, CO, grandchildren Ashlan and Derrick Alicea, great-grandchildren Bailey Alicea. Additional surviving extended family members include sister Janice Cline (Billy Joe) Proctor of Loudon, TN; and brother Terry (Virginia) Cline of Maryville, TN.

He is preceded in death and welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Mary and Roy Cline, his mother-in-law Mary Clark and his stepson, Nicholas "Nick" Marks.

David graduated from Lenoir City High School in 1983. He lived his entire life in east Tennessee and was well known in his community. He spent most of his career in the automotive industry as a mechanic. David loved living in his cabin out by the lake and was often found outdoors in the neighborhood. He loved his border collies and he served as his HOA President for several years. At the time of his death, David was employed by Denso Manufacturing in Maryville, TN.

The family is not planning a memorial service at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
