Darrell Emory Webb, of Maryville, passed away February 27, 2020 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born September 2, 1935, in the city of Knoxville, TN to the late Darrell Eugene and Emerald DeMarcus Webb. He was a continuous partner to the late Vickie Ernestine Headrick for 50 years. She had two daughters and one son, Connie Williams and Tracy Lynn Gribble of Maryville, and Kent McCarter of Wears Valley who were like his own.
Darrell was self employed in the business of all phases of professional photography. After a post graduate course at University of Tennessee in Industrial Engineering. Leading the class paper to an A+, worked for all of the major Industries in the area. Darrell had hundreds of photos published in various papers including the Maryville Daily Times over a 50 year period.
He received his diploma from Everett High School, signed by Principal J.B. Robinson.
A member of The TN Professional Photographers, Maryville Alcoa Civitan Club and others. He taught school for seven years and principal for 2 years. He operated several businesses including a radio station WRKQ with 8 church services every Sunday. A member of The Church at Meadowbrook missing one Sunday in 7 years serving all positions including Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent. He assisted a former minister with the Chilhowee Baptist Association to acquire a church in Blount County. He was also appointed Moderator of the Associaton of which he had many lunches.
Preceded in death by Brother, Paul Gordon, Father, Darrell Eugene, Mother, Willie Emerald DeMarcus. Survived by Sister, Charlene Marie Holder and several extended family members.
The memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Headricks Chapel, Wears Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
