Clyde Austin Burns, Jr.

Clyde Austin Burns, Jr. passed through the Gates of Heaven Sunday morning, August 9, 2015. He was a born again Christian member of East Walland Missionary Baptist Church. He was born July 31, 1924 and had just celebrated his 91st birthday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. Burns, Sr. and Cora Lee Woodby Burns; brothers, Roy and Tony; sister, Charlotte Campbell; brother-in-law, George Dunlap. Survived by beloved wife of 68 years, Ruby Lee Burns; very special caregiver and granddaughter, Stephenie Best; 6 children, Mike (Jane), Pat (Teresa), Dennis (Edwina), Kelly (Pete Busto), Danny (Carol), Shannon (Matt Hogue); 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sisters, Margaret Dunlap, Billy Sue Porter (J.D.); loyal buddy, Sam Burns. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at East Walland Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Boring officiating. The interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
