Clifford “Ray†Baker, born March 19, 1948 to Hugh E. and Margaret E. Simerly Baker, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at his home. Ray was an employee of Denso Manufacturing for 18 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served in Vietnam and was a Sergeant in the Army National Guard until he received an Honorable Discharge in March of 1981. Ray enjoyed working outside, television and was a great problem solver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Thomas Adams. Ray leaves three daughters, Michelle DeFrank and husband John of Friendsville, TN, Karen Skinner and husband Doug of Richmond, IN, and Jennifer Moore of Maryville, TN. He has 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild; special friend, Betty Wilson. He is also survived by sister, Peggy “Sisterbelle†White of Maryville, TN; brother, Robert Baker of Santee, SC. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Russell officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery with Military Honors.
