Claiborne Lee Pittman

December 26, 1919 — March 8, 2014

Claiborne Lee Pittman, age 94, BSEE, BSME (U. of Arkansas) of Maryville, beloved husband and father, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Asbury Place of Maryville. He was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church, past president of Kiwanis, Toastmaster, and was retired from ALCOA with 34 years of service having lived in Australia, Pittsburgh, and Texas. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as Captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corp. Preceded in death by his parents, Augustus Paul and Ola Blanche Claiborne Pittman; brother, James Pittman; sister, Julia Stowell. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Pittman; daughter, Elise Claiborne of New Zealand; son, James Pittman of Maryville; numerous cousins. Special thanks to Wellington Place Assisted Living and Mrs Gladys Self for their care of our Dad. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at New Providence Presbyterian Church with The Rev.
