Chief Petty Officer Robert Richard Shields

Chief Petty Officer Robert Richard Shields, US Navy Retired, age 90 of Maryville, passed away November 13, 2019. He served in the U.S. Navy with 30 years of service and was a 50 year Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel L. and Naomi Conner Shields; brothers and sister, James L “Luke” Shields, Barbara Sue Beals, Ralph L. Shields, Kenneth E. Shields; 1st wife, Helen A. Shields; stepson, Jerry Gregory.

He is survived by wife, Helen Gregory Shields; brother, Larry B. Shields; sister, Joyce Enos and husband, Dean; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM, Sunday, November 17. 2019 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The graveside service with full military honors will follow at 3:00 PM at Grandview Cemetery with the Pastor Nick Perkins officiating.
