Charlotte Ann Chambers Hammontree, 82, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully March 20th at Morning View Transitional Care. She was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church. She was a 35-year breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed being a part of the choir at church, she was an avid knitter, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Marion Chambers; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Moselene Hammontree; infant son, John Andrew Hammontree; brothers, Gene (Polly), Jerome, and Ronnie Chambers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Hammontree; sons, Ron Jr., David (Hope), Chuck (Shawna); grandchildren, Hayley, Gracie, Austin, Karli, Lucy, Brooke, and Alley; brother, Rusty (Julia) Chambers; sister-in-laws, Carol Chambers, Janna Chambers; several nieces and nephews; lots of special friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, March 24th, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug Hayes officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Grandview Cemetery.
