Charles T. Veal

Charles T. Veal, age 91 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at his home. He was a lifelong member of Blount Christian Church where he served as Deacon, Trustee and Chairman of the Deacons. He retired from TVA after 28 years of service, served in the Navy in World War II from 1943-46 and served in the Korean War from 1950-55. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Veal; parents, Payton and Sarah Veal and brothers, J. O., Ray, Albert, Alfred and Earnest Veal. Survivors include his sons, Randy Veal and wife Tammy of Maryville, Ricky Veal and wife Jackie of Sarasota, FL; special daughter, Libby Huffstetler; grandchildren, Mandi Millsaps, Leah Veal, Katie Veal, Blair Jones, Johnny Fox and Jennifer Aughton-Fox; great grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Veal, Asher Millsaps; several nieces and nephews. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday at Blount Christian Church followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service with Rev. Mark Howard officiating.
