Charles R. (Charlie) Bradam, age 79, passed away peacefully July 11th in Ocala, Florida.
Charles was a native Tennessean who loved sports. Playing football in his early years, he continued to keep up with his favorite teams later in life including, of course, the UT Vols. Upon his retirement from the Alcoa Aluminum Company, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed life to its fullest. He devoted his free time to his love of golf and made wonderful friends at the many courses where he played. Charles was also an avid fisherman making a yearly trip to Canada for a week of fishing and fellowship with his Brother-In-Law, “Moose” and other friends who were up for the trip.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Maelee Bradam; brother, Buddy Bradam, and nephew, Jeff Bradam.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Beth Bradam of Ocala; son, Tim Bradam (Patti) of Oak Ridge; step-daughters, Christi Millsaps (David and daughter, Chloe), and Lori Sims (Mitch and sons, Matt and Zack) all of Georgia; sister, Betty Bales (Donnie) of Maryville; sister-in-law, Connie Bernstein of Greenback; special nieces, Jennie Connor (Walter) and Michelle Edwards (John) of Greenback, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl “Moose” and Carol Young of Wisconsin; a host of many other family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice Ocala, Florida for Charlie’s care and compassion during this time.
Family and friends will meet at 11am, Friday, July 23rd, at the Grandview Cemetery Pavilion for interment services with Rev. Joe Colquitt officiating.
