Charles Patrick Stephenson, age 90 of Greenback, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015, in Glendale, AZ. He served with the U. S. Navy during World War II, from 1943-1946, stationed in Pearl Harbor. The ships he served on were, U.S.S. Jallaot Flag, U.S.S. Sea Poacher, U.S.S. Aspoo Flagship, U.S.S. Proteus and U.S.S. Monterey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma June Stephenson; parents, Patrick C. and Mary Grace Montgomery Stephenson; brother, William Stephenson. Survivors include his daughters, Sonja Sharron Seaton of Phoenix, AZ and Beverly Ann Stephenson-May and husband Jerry May of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Sean Brown, Chad Brown, Tylah Ann Johnson; great grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Brandon and Bryan Brown, Mikah, Liora and Calob Johnson; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Aubrey and Joyce Fields, Melvin and Clara Fields all of Maryville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Juanita and Charles Hawk of Maryville; sister-in-law, Mary Baker of Maryville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janie Fields and Ed Shore of Maryville; sister-in-law, Ovita Fields of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Big Gully, with Dr. Herschell Baker, Jr. officiating.
