Charles N. Thompson

Charles N. Thompson passed away October 7, 2008. He attended Unitia Holiness Church about 65 years and enjoyed his Church family very much. He enjoyed his coffee drinkers, Mall walking buddies, friends and neighbors that gathered together in the afternoon to visit in Friendsville. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, he hunted in TN, NC, SC, IL and SD. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Goforth Thompson; parents, Frank and Sue Shackelford Thompson; sisters, Reba Thompson, Peggy Courtney; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene Coxen, Kenneth Bright, Irene and Clifton Franklin; special aunts, Nell, Polly and Zana. Survivors include his daughter, Margaret Nell Hughes; sisters, Dot Coxen of Morganton, WV, Jeanne Bright and Susan Thompson of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; special friends and relatives, Troy Gene, LeRoy, Clyde, Thelma, Beecher, Howard, Robert, Jerry, Keith, Jake, Whistle, Billie and Lowell. Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Unitia Cemetery for the interment service.
