In Loving Memory of Charles Lynn Moffett
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Charles Lynn Moffett, a cherished husband, father, papaw, brother, son, & uncle, who went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2023. Survived by wife, Kasey Herkemij Moffett; daughter, Crystal Leigh Burris (Moffett) and husband Taylor Burris; son, Cody Lynn Moffett, and grandson, Kysler James Moffett; son, Lucas Scott Moffett; mother, Darlene Thompson and husband, Donnie Thompson; father, Charles Everett Moffett and wife, Judy Moffett; biological father, Ronny Paul Howard; sister, Courtney Lee Moore and husband, Tim Moore; sister, Brittany Nicole Hall; sister, Miranda Shere Miller and husband, Tim Miller; step-sister, April Nance and husband, Ray Nance; step-sister, Amy Townsend and husband, Timothy Townsend; many nieces and nephews. Special friends, Dusty and Liah Lane; Chris and Stephanie Miller; Mike and Sheila Russell; Jay and Brooke Frankovich; Shane and Amanda Branham. Lynn was employed by Vulcan Materials for 24 years, of which the last 10, he served as plant manager over the Sweetwater and Athens quarry.
He was a man who embraced life with a passion that was truly remarkable. A dedicated father, he would move mountains for his children, for they were his entire world. Lynn had a zest for life that was evident in every aspect of his being. Whether he was out on the lake, navigating his boat with a sense of freedom and joy, or cruising the streets on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle, his spirit was alive with exhilaration. His heart raced with excitement whenever he engaged in anything racing, a passion that brought him immense joy and camaraderie.
Known for his vibrant personality, Lynn had an unparalleled ability to bring smiles to the faces of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His generosity and kindness were boundless, leaving an impact on the lives he touched. Lynn embraced life to the fullest, seizing every opportunity to create memories and forge connections with those around him.
Lynn is loved and missed dearly by his employees, family, and friends, all of whom were touched by his warmth and compassion. As we bid farewell to Charles Lynn Moffett, we remember him not with sorrow, but with a celebration of a life well lived. His legacy of love, adventure, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. May his memory be a source of comfort and strength in the days to come.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 8/30/23, with visitation from 5-7 PM and the funeral immediately following at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 220 W Broadway Maryville, TN with Pastor Tim Watson of Shelton's Grove officiating. Family and friends are welcome to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM, Thursday 8/31/23, for a procession to Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa for a graveside service at 11:00 AM.
