Charles L. Allen

September 21, 2006 ALLEN, Charles L., age 98 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2006, in Monroe, GA. He and his family moved to Maryville from South Carolina. He was co-owner of Allen and Price Upholstery Shop from 1949-1971. After retiring in 1971 he later moved to Monroe, GA to live with his son. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryleen B. Allen and daughter, Christine Headrick; sons-in-law, Furman Price, Ozell Merritt, and Warren Headrick; daughter-in-law, Deanna Allen. Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Price, Helen Merritt, Aurelia Gaddis all of Maryville, Charlene Menard, Vivian Wise and husband Marion all of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Morris and Grace Allen of Monroe, GA; 20 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Beachy and Rev. Kenneth Carpenter officiating.
