Charles J. Welshan, age 81 of Maryville, passed away at home Sunday, February 3, 2013, with his family by his side. Charles retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was a former Veteran. Charles loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. He attended Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: father, Frank Welshan; mother, Novella (Blair) Welshan; brothers, Clifford, Hoyle, Lee Anzel, and Lewis Welshan; sisters, Essie Durance, and Nazrine Rayfield. Survivors include: his beloved wife of 60 years, Juanita (Kagley) Welshan; son, Dennis Welshan; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Betty Welshan, David and Marilyn Welshan; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Steve Blair, Lesa and Dallas Stevens; grandchildren, Jason, Chancey, Sandra, and Charlsie Welshan, Jessica and Bethany Blair, Kayla Stevens, Robyn Crowe, and Ashley Odom; great grandchildren, Emily Welshan, Addie and Lydia Crowe; sister, Mary Sue Gray of CA. The family would like to thank all family and friends for the love and support through the last several months. A special thanks to the following family and friends: Sheila Welshan, Archie Clark, Jeanette Best, Charlotte Powell, Lucille and Buford Dewitt. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Bandy and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
