WALLACE, Charles Hurbert, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Monday, October 23, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA with 57 years of service. During World War II, he served with the United States Army in the South Pacific. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and George Wallace; brothers, Harry, Edward and Clarence Wallace; sisters, Lillian Grubb, Ruth Beeler, Pauline Brookshire, Beatrice Galyon and Nora Simpson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret McDaniel Wallace; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas C. and Vicky H. Wallace of Maryville; granddaughter, Abby V. Wallace of Colorado Springs, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Fred R. and Agnes Wallace of Strawberry Plains and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. The entombment service will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
