Charles G. Orr

Charles G. Orr, age 95 of Maryville, TN passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. He was married to the late Isabel S. Orr for 72 years and they were members of First United Methodist Church of Maryville, TN. He is survived by a son, William Orr of Alcoa, TN; a daughter, Susan Brammell of Richmond, KY; five grandchildren, Shane Orr, Chad Orr, Ben Brammell, Laura Mattern, and Ginny Schreiner, and five great grandchildren. Charlie was born in Trenton, KY on January 16, 1918, the son of William Gish and Patsy Cooke Orr. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was a devoted Wildcat fan. He was employed by ALCOA for over 20 years and owned and operated Creative Marble until he sold the business and retired. Visitation will be 1:30 pm Monday, October 14, 2013 at Latham Funeral Home, 413 E Main St, Elkton, KY 42220 with graveside services to follow at 3:00 pm at Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY with Rev. Mike Dorsey officiating.
