Charles Eugene Brown

Charles Eugene “Gene” Brown, age 73 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 12, 2009. Gene was a Christian who loved his God, a veteran, a business man and civic leader, and devoted family man. Gene had an impact on everyone he met and changed the lives of many people. He will be greatly missed by his former wife, Shelby Jean Brown; son, Randy Brown (Debbie); daughter, Lori Elam (Mark); grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Peyton Brown, Madison Elam, Ana Grace Elam; sister, Gail Frick (Wayne); many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Carolyn Hurst. Special thanks to the staff of Blount Memorial Hospital, especially Dr. Pierce Alexander and Dr. Thomas Mandrell. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Alcoa First United Methodist Church with Pastor Delbert Raines and Roland Hayes officiating.
