Charles David Vittetoe

We are sad to announce the passing of Charles David Vittetoe of Maryville Tn. He died at age 76 on December 30. 2023. David passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with cancer. David was born on Nov. 30, 1947, in Maryville, Tn to George and Easter Vittetoe. He graduated from Porter High School in 1967. He met the love of his life Betty Joyce Patterson in 1961 at a school dance and was married 56 years. He was a life time member, deacon and music director at Eagleton Village Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Easter Vittetoe.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty Joyce Vittetoe; son and daughter- in-law, Todd and Cindy Vittetoe; grandsons, Jared Jett (Megan), Jonah Jett (Katie) and Jackson Jett; great-grandson, Hudson; sister, Carolyn Presley; sister and brother in laws,  Ann and David Shuler, Lynn and Teddy Wright, Ronnie and Darlene Patterson; nieces, Kim Tipton, Tiffany Morgan, Bridgett Tipton, Lisa Jameson and Tammy Debow; nephews, Kenny Murrell, Casey Wright, Scott Kelley, Ronnie Patterson and Wayne Patterson; several great nieces and nephews. Dave was a friend to everyone he met and was always the life of the party. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The body will lie in state Tuesday at Eagleton Village Baptist Church beginning at 4:00 P.M. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with services to follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Gerald Jones and Rev. Bill White officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment with Rev. Jim Tater Wells officiating.
