Obituary for Cecille Harley Taubler
Cecille Harley Taubler, age 74 of Maryville, passed peacefully on October, 20th, 2019 after a short bout with cancer. She was born to
the late Cecil Harley and Henrietta Blackburn on November, 24, 1944 in Savannah, GA.
Cecille spent a lot of her childhood in Savannah. As a teenager, she spent summers in Birmingham, Alabama visiting her sister Estelle
and her family.
Cecille, as a young woman, migrated to Florida. She lived and worked there for many years and made numerous lifelong friends.
Cecille worked for Hudson Pulp and Paper and later in life moved further south and worked for Walt Disney World. After 13 years,
she retired and moved with her husband Richard to Tennessee. She always wanted to be near the Smoky Mountains.
During the years between Florida and Tennessee she resided in Texas, the home of her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She worked for
Walmart briefly and shortly after worked for a bookkeeping business.
Cecille was a hard working, loving and caring person. Anyone who ever met her would tell you that. She would give the shirt
off of her back to anyone who needed it. Always put everyone else before herself. She was selfless and a worrier. She worried
about every single person she ever loved. Cecille was also very active. She was always going and doing. She loved to shop
even if she had no money. Her phrase was “window shopping”. She loved to travel. Visiting exciting places she had never seen.
Cecille was creative and had the biggest green thumb in the family. She loved working on crafts, ceramics and tending to her
plants and flowers. But even though she had love for all of these hobbies, her main passion was her family. She was always
thinking about them, worried about them and had unconditional love for each and every one. She was very understanding and
forgiving.
Even though she accumulated many lifelong friends over the span of her life, she had just as many , if not more , family members
who will forever be heartbroken. Cecille was survived by the love of her life, Richard Taubler and her beloved dog Yogi. Always
her protector and forever by her side. She was survived by an older sister, Estelle Webb of Alabama. Her two nephews, Michael
and Lee Perry and niece Christi Perry. Cecille was also preceded in death by her third nephew Victor Perry.
Cecille had two daughters, Deanie May-Fouche, Samantha Aselin and one step-daughter
Kayla Taubler. Cecille was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She doted on her 10
grandchildren. Jamie Esco, Allysa Girouard, David Gonzalez, Jeremy Gonzalez, Sean Gonzalez, Jared Fouche and her more
recent loves, Elizabeth(Lizzie), Garrett, Alexa and Isaiah. She also had 10 great grandchildren who lovingly called her GiGi. Jacie Clubb,
Trent Hensley, Devin Kay, Caleb Esco, Brihana Gonzalez, Nathan Gonzalez, Jeremiah Gonzalez, Rylan Gonzalez, Luke
Gonzalez and Aleigha Girouard.
We all love you mom and we will never fill the hole that is left in our hearts. We miss you dearly but know that you are in
a better place.
There will be a private memorial held at her daughter’s home on Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 around 5:00 p.m. Family
and close personal friends only. No flowers please, plants accepted and/or donations to bluefaery.org.
