Cathy Anne Shepard

Cathy Anne Shepard, 61, of Maryville, Tennessee, formerly of Hamilton and Madison NY, passed away on May 2, 2024. Born on December 19, 1962, Cathy dedicated her life to caring for children, raising her own four while fostering many more. Her joy knew no bounds when she became Nonny to her beloved grandchildren.

Survived by her loving husband Scott Shepard, Cathy is remembered fondly by her children Kati (Michael) Strong, Ashleigh (William) Rausch, Corey (Candace) Matteson, Alexis Matteson, Stepson David Shepard (Stephanie), as well as her cherished grandchildren Taylor, Baileigh, Brady, and Rylee Strong, Johnathan Rausch, Alexander Matteson, Amilia, Naomi and Aiden. She leaves behind her mother Joanne Lloyd, siblings Michael (Carol) Lloyd, Karen Carroll, and Christine (John) Watkins, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Predeceased by her brother Jeffrey Lloyd and father Robert Charles Lloyd, Cathy's memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Cathy’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at Blount Memorial Hospital for their kindness, attentiveness, and compassionate care. 

Friends and family are invited to honor Cathy’s memory at a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 8th, at 10 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hamilton NY, followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Hamilton, NY.
