Carolyn L. Lane

Carolyn L. Lane, age 85 of Friendsville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Big Springs Presbyterian Church and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 30 years service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewell M. and Lillie O. Blair Largen. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Edward Lane; son, Tony Lane of Friendsville; daughters, Terry (Tony) Smith of Zionsville, IN, Sherry Lane of Pagosa Springs, CO, Tammy (Bill) McReynolds of Friendsville; grandchildren, Ian, Brian, Joshua, Katie, Stephanie, Morgan, Christopher, Kyle; great granddaughters, Josie and Isla, who were her pride and joy; brother, James Largen; sister, Laura A. Patton. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Big Springs Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Roy Scarbrough officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. Saturday at Big Springs Presbyterian Church.
