Carolyn Faye Carpenter Brown left her earthly home on Thursday, May 23rd. She was born on January 23, 1941. She was adopted by Clifford and Faye Young Carpenter at the age of five years. She soon became the apple of her Daddy’s eye. She was truly loved and doted on by both parents. She was raised in a devout Methodist home. She was at church every time the doors swung open. She helped with potlucks, singing in the choir, working the clothes closet, you name it and she was there. She worked at Blount Memorial Hospital for nearly 30 years and then retired to travel the world with her husband, Red, and did some camping also.
She has left behind a daughter, Karen (Ronnie) Ogle; son, Thomas Brown; granddaughters, Kelly (Ronnie) Godbey, Dena (John) Zwolinski; great-grandchildren, Tyler Zwolinski, Christian Keller, Britney Brown, Jackson Godbey, Jules Godbey; special friend, Teresa Daniels.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, June 7, 2024, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 PM. A private family graveside will be held at Carpenters Campground Methodist Church Cemetery.
