Carol Newhard Cain

Carol Newhard Cain, born in Lafayette, IN passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 in Knoxville, TN at the age of 79. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Sun Lakes, AZ. Carol graduated from Jefferson High School and Purdue University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was an avid Genealogist, Master Gardener and never met a kitty she didn’t like. She was the daughter of Stanley Q. And Lillian B. Newhard of Lafayette who preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband John Cain of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Jan Jones of Paducah, KY and Nancy Slaven of Indiana. Funeral services will be at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home 220 W. Broadway Ave. Maryville, TN on Tuesday September 27th at 2:00 PM Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, TN following the service. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or your local animal shelter.
