Carl James ''Jim'' Ihlenfeld

Carl James ''Jim'' Ihlenfeld, 61, passed away at his home, Tuesday June 18, 2013, after an extended cardiac illness. He was a graduate of Maryville High, East Tennessee State University and University of Tennessee Knoxville. During most of his career, Mr. Ihlenfeld worked in Training and Human Resources. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with family. Mr. Ihlenfeld was a lover of golf, and was an avid golf club maker. He was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Franklin, TN for 22yrs. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 30yrs, Elaine T. Ihlenfeld and father Carl Ihlenfeld. Survivors include his mother Sally Ihlenfeld; daughter Laura and son-in-law Joey Ferguson; Brother Bruce and sister-in-law Maxine Ihlenfeld, Niece Sara and husband Levi Ogle; grand-niece Cadence Ogle; and many cousins and friends. Memorial services will be held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Franklin, TN at a later date.
