Callie Ruth Anderson

Callie Ruth Anderson, 97, of Shannondale, passed from this world peacefully with many family members by her side on December 15, 2021. Callie was born in Corpus Christi, TX, lived for many years and raised her children in Miami, retired with her husband, Ray Anderson, to Marco Island, FL before they moved to Maryville in 2005. Her husband passed away in 2006 and Callie lived with family members until moving to Shannondale in 2012.

During that time, she was inspired and comforted by the many messages delivered by Dr. Jerry Russell at Fairview UMC. At Shannondale she enjoyed many friendships with other residents and staff members. Staff was particularly helpful to Callie during her last couple of years as she moved from Independent Living to Assisted Living and then Nursing Care. Her family is grateful for such care and attention.

As she and her husband Ray shared so many wonderful memories during the more than twenty years that they lived on Marco Island, the family will meet on the island for a celebration of her life in May of this year.

Callie was always “Joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer” Romans 12:12. We will miss her everyday but take comfort in knowing that she and her husband/our dad are united once again.
