C. R. "Bud" Carver

September 10, 1926 — April 27, 2014

C. R. "Bud" Carver, 87, of Greenback passed away at the family home Sunday morning April 27, 2014. Bud was retired from CSX Transportation (formerly L&N Railroad) and a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James M. and Ada Carver and brothers, Elzie Carver, Henry Emerson Carver, and R. D. Carver. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Ruth Peterson Carver; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Martha Carver of Maryville and John and Barbara Carver of Greenback; 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters, Leecie Gresham of Etowah, Geneva Evans and Betty Blair of Greenback; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Mary Lou Scott for her wonderful care and love. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 noon Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Ron Sabo officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
