Bruce H Hill

HILL, Bruce H.-age 79 of Maryville passed away peacefully September 1st, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Hayesville, NC on May 20th, 1928. He proudly served the City of Maryville for 34 years and retired as Fire Chief for Maryville City Fire Department in 1988. He was preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Hazel Hill and grandson, Jason Hodge who passed away August 15th, 2007. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Wanda Hill; children, Sherry Price and J. David Hill both of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Jeana Hill of Kingsport; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and John Law of Maryville, sister; Joline “Jodie” Cagle of Sevierville; grandchildren, Ronnie Hodge and wife Kim of Kennesaw, GA, Sabrina Huffstetler and husband Chad, Rocky Hodge of Maryville, Jeremy Hill and fiancé’, Kim Kuwik both of Knoxville, Brandi Smith and husband Nick of Knoxville; great grandchildren; Steve, Rodney and Joshua Hodge of Kennesaw, GA, Cortney and Orion Mashburn and Cole Huffstetler of Maryville, Jason Franklin Hodge of Maryville and Melanie Hodge of Vonore. He also left behind many special friends and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He devoted his life to helping others and touched many lives. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Monday, September 3rd, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Chaplain Randy Thompson officiating. The interment will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral, Maryville, 982-6812.
