Brian Jeffrey Cook, 63, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Brian was born on February 18, 1953 in Rantoul, Illinois. He married Jane Elizabeth Cook in November 1975 and they were happily married for over 40 years. He was the owner and CEO of Railcar Service Group in Harriman, Tennessee. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Emil George Cook and Eleanor Grace Ackerman. In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his daughter, Loraine Cook-Holcombe; his grandchild, Brantley Grace Holcombe; his two sisters, Linda Cook Meagher and Kartar Kaur Khalsa; and his mother-in-Law, Betty Thaggard Korpela. Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church of Maryville on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue - 5th Floor, Norwalk, Connecticut 06851 or to Camp Happy Days, 1622 Ashley Hall Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29407 in his name. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, Lakewood United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, Florida, First United Methodist Church, Maryville, Tennessee, family and friends for their support during these years and thereafter.
