Bonnie Jean Simpson

SIMPSON, Bonnie Jean, age 81 of Maryville, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, retired from Proffitt’s Corporate in 1995, but her favorite job was in finance at the 1982 World’s Fair. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Mae McClure Barnard and her father, Claude A. Barnard. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William A. Simpson, Sr.; daughter, Kathryn Simpson of New York, NY; son, William A. Simpson, Jr. of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Brett Ramsdell of New York, NY; grandchildren, Holly Simpson; great grandchildren, Gabriel and Noah Simpson; brother, Thomas Barnard of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Billie and Phil McClanahan, Rebecca and Marion McCaulley all of Maryville; best friend, Judy Williams of Maryville. Entombment services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Sherwood Mausoleum.
