Bonnie Butcher Crye, age 96 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Fairpark Healthcare Center. She was the oldest member of Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clarence Crye; grandson, Jayson Swaney; parents, Charlie and Ava Wilson Butcher; brother, Charles Butcher, Jr.; sons-in-law, Gordon Swaney, Gary Albright, Dave Young, George B. Porter, Jim Johnston. Survivors include her children, Norma Porter, Manuel Crye (Jane), Alma Swaney, Jenny Johnston, Bedelia Gascho (Roger), Shelia Overton (Eddie), Stanley Crye (Donna), Ted Crye (Tammy) all of Maryville; grandchildren, Kathy Porter, Ray Porter, Cindy Felty, Darrell Swaney, Amber Williams, Allison Varlan, K.K. Bolinger, John David Young, Robert Young, Tiffany Everett, Brandy Buchanan, Weston Overton, Samanda Knight, Neil Crye, Brandi Cook, Kara Latham; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Wilma Williams; brother, James Butcher. The family express special thanks to Fairpark Concordia. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, at Salem Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Charles Huskey officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church immediately following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 4602 Salem Road, Greenback, TN 37742.
