Bonita Juanell Pollard Steppe

Bonita Juanell Pollard Steppe, age 101, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Belmont Village Senior Living Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a member of Fairview Methodist Church and participated faithfully in the Dona Steppe Ladies Circle. For many years Bonita and her husband, Maurice, spent much time at their cabin at Top of the World where she cultivated and nurtured native wild flowers and enjoyed birdwatching. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice James Steppe and her parents, Della and William Pollard.

She is survived by daughter, Donna Steppe Millard and husband, Joe Millard of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Bill Steppe and wife, Susan Caylor Steppe of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Jeffrey Millard and wife, Amy Millard of Longmont, CO; Richard Millard and Kevin Cundiff of Cañon City, CO; Seth Steppe of Memphis, TN; Tyler Steppe of Des Moines, IA; great grandson (and the light of her life), Jaxsen Millard, Longmont CO; and niece, Jane Steppe Chastain, of Greeley, CO.

A celebration of Bonita's life will be held at Grandview Cemetery Pavilion in Maryville, Tennessee on Monday, February 24, 11:00 AM, EST. Interment will immediately follow the service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an agency of your choice devoted to care and protection of children or animals.
