Bobby Allen Beaty, Sr.

Bobby Allen Beaty Sr., age 79, passed away on Thursday night, May 10, 2018 at The University of Tennessee Hospital. Bobby was born January 2nd, 1939, in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1957, then served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1967. Since the age of 15, Bobby was in the auto business. He was a member of the Seymour Gideons Club, as well as the Jail Ministry. Bobby was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church for 25 years, where he served as a deacon, song leader, and treasurer. Bobby enjoyed old cars, farming/cattle, car auctions, visiting Myrtle Beach, and Nascar (Dale Earnhardt). Family members include Shirley Beaty, wife of 48 years, and their four sons Mark and his wife Amy, Bobby Jr., and Ben Beaty, all of Maryville, and Mike Beaty and his wife Teresa Beaty of Rome, Georgia. Bobby had four grandchildren: Caleb, Noah, Natalie, and Madison Beaty. He also had two great-grandchildren: twins Arilla and Talia Beaty. Brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Sandy Beaty. Brother-in-law Carroll Strange. Nieces and nephews include: Sue Anne and her husband Kevin Green, Scott and wife Teresa Edmondson, Steve Strange, and Brad Beaty. Great niece Jessica Green. Preceeded in death were Bobbys two parents Robert (Bob) and Ethel (Tate) Beaty, sisters Billy Edmondson and her husband Lawrence Edmondson, and other sister Beulah Strange, nephew Mark Strange, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Susie and Luther (L.B.) Blair. Receiving of friends will be from 2:00-6:00 on Monday, May 14, 2018, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, with the funeral to follow. The funeral service will include preachers Rev. Ron Day and Dr. Charles Bailey. Burial will be Tuesday morning 11:00 A.M. at Grandview Cemetery, with prayer by Rev. Ron Day and a military service to follow. We will be leaving the funeral home at 10:45 to travel to the gravesite. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Operation Christmas Child or Gideons International since Bobby held these so close to his heart.
