Bob Travis Owens

Bob “Travis” Owens, age 66 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born January 27, 1943 in Clintwood, VA to Elmer and Dorsie Owens, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Eusebia Presbyterian Church and was also preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Marie Houston, Sr. Travis leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Paulette Houston Owens; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jill Owens, and grandson, Ramsey Michael Owens; cousins, John Bill Ratliff and Mary Mae Ratliff; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Delmar Houston Carroll, Penny and Ricky Whaley, Peggy Houston Creswell, and Paul Houston, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Ron and Missy Runyon, Nikki and Chris Clark, Chip and Megan Creswell, Aaron and Savannah Carroll, Justin Small, Blake and Jonathan Clark, Dravon Runyon, Houston and Hank Carroll. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Eusebia Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating.
