Billy Wayne Boswell, Sr. (March 4, 1928 February 5, 2017) Long-time Maryville resident born to Annie Raye Brock Boswell (deceased) and Ira Wesley Boswell, Sr. (deceased) in Butler, AL. Also preceded in death by brothers, Ira (Jr.), Carl, Joe and sisters, Annie Kate Boswell Ward and Sarah Boswell Ward. Family survivors include his bride of 63 years, Dolly M. Bradford Boswell; daughter, Susan W. Boswell McCourry & Dwain W. Mercer (son-in-law (Madisonville); sons, T. Wesley Boswell (Maryville), and Billy Wayne Boswell, Jr. also of Maryville; grandchildren, Callie Sara McCourry and Noah Wesley McCourry (both of Madisonville.) Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, at Grandview Cemetery on Tuckaleechee Pike for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Research to Prevent Blindness Group.
