Billy Joe Bain

Billy Joe Bain, 87, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was the owner of Bain Metal Fabricators and was active in the construction industry in Blount County for over 40 years, including serving as President of the Homebuilders Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Mae Bain; brothers, Anderson Jr., Gene, Fred, Pete, and Jim Bain, all from Kentucky; sisters, Pauline Philpot and Nell Maples.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon Bain; son, William (Bill) Bain; daughters, Pam Bain and Lori Guffey of Maryville, and Beth McClain of Nashville; grandchildren, Mitchell Bain, Jenny and Lucy McClain, and Eve Bain; 2 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Raymond Burnett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
