Billy Don Heatherly

Billy Don “Rainbo” Heatherly - age 71 of Maryville passed away Saturday morning March 26, 2011 at his home. He was an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, was a graduate of Maryville College and received his masters degree from the University of Tennessee. Don was an avid golfer, basketball coach at Eagleton Jr. High, Everett High and Heritage High where he was also Athletic Director. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Myrtle Heatherly. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Shirley McNiell Heatherly; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Clayton Beaty; sister-in-law, Barbara Handley; brother-in-law ans sister-in-law, Stuart and Sarah McNiell; nephew, John Beaty; aunt and uncle, Carrie and Aubrey Brundick; aunts, Marie Ellerd, Georgia Richardson, and Christine Miller of Campbell County. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 29, from 5 til 6:30 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home funeral services will follow at 6:30 in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum for the entombment service.
