Betty Jo Tullock Sterling

Betty Jo Tullock Sterling age 85, left this earth to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday November 21, 2018. She is now rejoicing with her son Mark and granddaughter Raven and all other family and friends who got there before her. She was a faithful member of East Maryville Baptist Church and was a longtime choir member, teacher and nursery worker. She was a talented seamstress making all her and her daughters clothes. She was a longtime member of the Foothills Quilters Guild and won several ribbons for her quilts. She was a great friend to many and will be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, her laughter and love of life. She was always looking for the good in people and most of the time found it. She was the neighborhood Mom to many children who always wanted to come to her house to play. Family includes the love of her life, Claude (CH) Sterling, married for 65 years; daughters and sons- in-law, June and Mike Lail of Alcoa, Laura and Carson Caldwell of Maryville and daughter-in-law Leigh Sterling-Gooden of Farragut; grandchildren Natasha, Alex, and Logan Gilley; Chase, Nick, and Sean Sterling; 10 great grandchildren; sister Lois Miller of Delano; many nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends on Monday November 26, 2018 from 5 to 6:30 pm with funeral to follow at East Maryville Baptist Church 1150 Brown School Road Maryville, TN 37804 with Pastor Keith Johnson officiating.
