Betty C Adams

Betty Adams, 83, of Maryville passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019. She grew up in Kingsport in the home now known as the Old Netherland Inn. She took great pride in this. Betty met Leonard, the love of her life, in Kingsport. They spend the next 61 years building their life together. Betty’s most prized role was that of mother to her two children. Betty’s profession was that of a homemaker. She worked tirelessly at maintaining a household, working at schools as a volunteer, and nurturing her family. Betty continued to spread that love to her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, Gabriel and Axavier Adams. Betty was a strong and devoted Christian. She spent the last 50 years as an active member of First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Clifford; her devoted husband, Leonard Adams; her parents, James and Beulah Cloud; her great grandmother, Nettie Cloud.
Surviving family members include: daughter, Melissa Adams; grandaughters, Kelsi Malone and Ambrosia Adams; beloved great grandsons, Axavier and Gabriel Adams; siblings, Ed Cloud and JoAnn Davis; nieces and nephews. Betty was surrounded by wonderful women in her circle at Maryville First United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 PM at Grandview Cemetery. Celebration of Betty’s life will be at 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Maryville First United Methodist Church.
