Betty Ann Payne Byers

Betty Ann Payne Byers, of Knoxville, formerly of Savannah, GA. She was born July 30, 1937 in Alcoa and passed away March 8, 2017, at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was a member of First Farragut United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by son, Thomas Byers; parents, Herbert and Hope Payne; brother, Robert Payne; grandparents, George and Hattie Payne and Eula Carpenter. Survived by husband, Cecil C. Byers; son, Alan Byers (Pamela); grandsons, whom she dearly loved to spend time with, Zachary and Matthew Byers; sister, Patsy Kay Carroll (Bob); aunt, Cathern Tucker; cousins, Larry McFee and (Shirley), Paul Payne (Paulette); nieces, Lisa, Sandy, Danielle and Dawn. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Don Thomas and Rev. Richard Edwards officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their special thanks to U. T. Hospice and special caregivers, Joann Forshaw and the late Mary Ann Hilker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Farragut United Methodist Church, 12733 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934.
