Bettie C. Mccammon

Bettie C. McCammon, 80 of Maryville, passed away Monday morning at Brookdale Retirement Home. She was born on August 24, 1937 in Lexington, Mississippi as Bettie Claire Diggs. She finished her degree at Delta State and worked in Medical Technology. She worked at Blount Memorial for several years. She married H. Robert McCammon on August 7, 1960 in Acona, Mississippi. Bettie was an artist, a wife and a mother. She enjoyed antiques, reading and the beach. She spent her free time working with the Red Hats. Her spirit was her own and exquisitely unique. She was preceded by her sister, Anne and her brother, Sonny. She is survived by her husband, H. Robert McCammon; her son, Robert; her grandchildren, Corey, Morgan and Kyle and her great granddaughter, Calliope Mae. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Musick officiating. The interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
