(Bessie) Elma Moretz gained her angel wings and her crown of gold peacefully at home on Friday, February 18 at the age of 94. Preceded in death was her husband, George E. Moretz; son, Stephen Moretz; her brothers, Roy and Henry Nelson.
She leaves behind her son, Douglas (Pam) Moretz; grandchildren Amanda (Alex Oliveria) Moretz, Adam (Jessica) Moretz, Danyal (Bruce) Burns Hilliard, Celena (Gabe) Wilson, Wayne (Linda) Sawyer, Brian (Regina) Sawyer, Donna Sawyer Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Olivia Moretz, Sienna Simerly, Dylyn Simerly, Tyler Sawyer, Shauna Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Mary Williamson, Wilma Nelson. Elma also leaves behind her loving church family at Trinity Presbyterian Church where she attended and was the oldest living member of 70 years. Plus doing the things she loved working with the children of the church in Sunday School and Bible School, visiting her friends when they could no longer attend church and the ladies bible study group. Her passion in life was working in her yard and flowers where she lovingly worked until a few years ago when her health would not let her anymore.
The family would also like to thank Summer and the team from Amedisys for guiding us through this journey we will ever be grateful for each and everyone of you.
Friends may pay their respects from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, Sunday, February 20th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
Due to Covid the family will have a private burial service at Clarks Grove Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
