Ben M Ross

Ben M. Ross, age 94 of Maryville TN, passed away March 18, 2019. He was born September 19, 1924 in Anderson County. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Frances Williams Ross; son, Christopher Ross; parents, Ben Ross Sr. and Maude Elizabeth Boyer Ross; brothers, George Thomas Ross and Paul Ross. He was owner and operator of Ross Brothers Grocery for 20 years and a cattle dealer. Ben and Frances traveled by plane and train in Europe and by camper in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. They spent winters in Texas and Florida returning to Tennessee each spring to visit their friends, to garden and to enjoy the square dance club. He was a long time avid Lady Vol and Vol Fan. He is survived by two sons, Elden of Virginia and John of Oregon; five grandchildren, Aaron, Tiffany, Andrew, Winston and Wesley; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Henry; sister, Vera Boyatt; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service, Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Grandview Cemetery.
