Belinda Grindstaff Duncan

Belinda Grindstaff Duncan of Maryville, TN passed peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on November 10, 2015. Belinda was born on May 21, 1946 in Maryville, TN to the late Paul and Velma Grindstaff. Belinda was a graduate of Everett High School in Maryville before becoming longtime resident of Kingsport, TN where she and her husband Fred owned and operated Jordan Carpet. Belinda and Fred raised their daughter, grew many strong friendships, and built a successful business in Kingsport before returning home to Maryville several years ago. Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Velma Grindstaff, her brothers J.N. and Ralph Grindstaff, and her grandson Matthew Wayne Smith. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred Lee Duncan, daughter Angel Duncan Smith, sisters Margaret Potter and Pauline McCroy, brother Bill Grindstaff, sister-in-law Dorothy Moelter, grandsons Alex and Sean Smith and many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. Belinda was an extremely kind person who was loved by many. We will deeply miss her laughter, sense of humor and infectious smile. With respect to Belinda's wishes there will be no funeral or graveside services. In lieu of flowers Belinda would like for any donations to be sent to Chilhowee View Community Center, 3229 Wilkinson Pike Maryville, TN 37803.
